THE SEASON OF REST

Samhain → Yule → Imbolc

(Oct 31 – Feb 1)
Focus: sleep • restoration • digestion • nervous system safety • repair
Theme: Catabolic cleanup + cellular repair

Primary focus:

  • Sleep

  • Digestion

  • Nervous system regulation and safety

  • Repair (not productivity)

The body is catabolic and inward-facing during this season. Energy naturally moves toward rest, repair, and conservation. This is not the time to push or overstimulate the system.

Darkness is the medicine.

Now is the season for deep sleep, gentle digestion, nervous system safety, and restoration.

Foods as Support: Warm • Fatty • Oily • Salty • Gelatinous • Mineral-rich

Example: Bone Broth from beef shank. The gelatin created is packed with glycine.

Key supplements to Support:

  • Phosphatidylserine (PS), 100 mg — lowers evening cortisol or optional Cortisol Manager (total 1-2 for high cortisol times)

  • Triphala (500–3000 mg) — digestive support taken a few hours after dinner

Bedtime Potion: Magnesium blend — parasympathetic activation + Glycine (3 g) + Melatonin— deep sleep tone

Catabolic = demolition + cleanup
Anabolic = construction + expansion

Upon Waking

  • Fats (olive oil, fish oil, D3/K2)

Dinner

  • Eat dinner 4+ hours before bed. If working out, 1/2 cup sheep or greek yogurt before bed.

Once you have restorative rest, you can then emerge...

THE SEASON TO EMERGE

Imbolc → Ostara → Beltane

(Feb 1 – May 1)
Focus: lymph flow • fascia hydration • heart rate variability • vagal nerve support • connective tissue awakening
Theme: Rehydration + gentle mobilization

Primary focus:

  • Lymphatic flow and myofascial release

  • Skin, collagen, and connective tissue health

  • Mobility and circulation

This is a time of emergence. The body begins to thaw and rehydrate tissues that have been dormant through winter. Movement returns, but slowly.

Support flow without depletion.
Think awakening and emerging.
Gentle stimulation, hydration, and mobility allow the system to re-enter motion safely.

Foods as Support: Warm • Bitter • Green • Cleansing • Mineralizing

Key Supplements to Support: Collagen

Once you emerge, you can then expand...

THE SEASON TO EXPAND

Beltane → Litha → Lughnasadh

(May 1 – Aug 1)
Focus: strength • joy • movement and dance • outward energy
Theme: Anabolic building + resilience

Primary focus:

  • Building strength

  • Joy and pleasure

  • Movement and outward energy

This is the most anabolic phase of the year. The body is primed to build muscle, resilience, and capacity. Energy is naturally higher, recovery is faster, and expression comes easily.

This is the season to move, create, connect, and enjoy embodiment.

Foods as Support: Hydrating • Cooling • Fresh • Herbal

Key Supplements to Support: Protein, spirulina, creatine

Once you expand, you can then integrate...

THE SEASON TO INTEGRATE

Lughnasadh → Mabon → Samhain

(Aug 1 – Oct 31)
Focus: stabilization • blood sugar balance • gentle detox • preparation for rest
Theme: Simplify and anchor

Primary focus:

  • Stabilization

  • Blood sugar balance

  • Detoxification

  • Preparing for rest

Energy begins to turn inward again. Appetite, sleep needs, and nervous system sensitivity shift. This is the time to simplify, stabilize routines, and reduce excess.

Support detox gently while anchoring blood sugar and stress response.

Prepare the body for descent, not depletion.

Foods to Support: Warming • Nourishing • Rooted • Grounding

Supplements to Support: Astaxanthin

Reduce

  • High stimulation supplements

  • Excess performance-focused stacks

Once you have integrated, you can then rest...
